Pelicans name new Acadamy Director

The Pensacola Pelicans announced that Mike Coziahr will be the new Pelicans Academy Director.  Mike takes over for Mac Seibert who left the Pelicans for a scouting assignment with the New York Mets.  The Pelicans Training Academy offers baseball instruction for kids of all ages and skill levels.  The academy is open to the public with instructional and batting cages available for rent to teams, groups or individuals.  Specialized and personal lessons in pitching, hitting and fielding are also available to small groups and individual players by appointment.

Mike has been with the Pelicans since the 2004 season.  He is currently the Stadium Operations Director and has been the Clubhouse Manager and Corporate Sales Executive. He has experience in professional sports dating back to 1983 when he was a student trainer for the Denver Broncos.  Mike also spent the 2003 baseball season with the Atlanta Braves. » Read More

The Pelicans Training Academy at 4920 North Davis Highway is now open Tuesday thru Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Saturday 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM For more information, call 850-332-6274.

HITTING AND PITCHING LESSONS AVAILABLE NOW

The Pelicans Training Academy is once again conducting hitting and pitching lessons for players of all ages and skill levels.  Call for scheduled lessons in hitting with Talmadge Nunnari, General Manager and Field Manager of the Pensacola Pelicans. Talmadge grew up in Pensacola, graduating from Washington High School.  He played collegiate baseball at Jacksonville State University and Major League Baseball for the Montreal Expos. Talmadge has been with the Pelicans since 2002 and has many years of baseball instruction experience. To schedule lessons call 332-6274.
